Wait till you're gone...Ka-ching!!

45 minutes to go... dig dag dug dig dug bom bom bom.. yup i think that's how my heart goes ryte now if it's ever that loud. Anyway I just borrowed an audiobook "Chinese for Dummies". Cool. But in the middle of lesson 1, I had to take a rest. Tired of pronouncing the shi, zhi, chi. my tongue nearly get twisted. and I was totally out of breath and energy.. sigh... There's like 3 CD and I'm still stuck with the first. Sheeshh.. All for the sake of "giving a good service to the non-English speaking community", At times, it can be quite difficult, when the Chinese colleagues went on leave or off days, and the Malay community are stuck for the whole day together with no one to fall back on.. or a slang language at work "tai chi".. Sometimes I am just like a person who just learn how to speak and who cannot speak... I have to use actions, a lot of broken Chinese AND English and even resort to write on a piece of paper.

Funny thing about some Singaporean Chinese, when I approached them to help to translate, they replied with blank faces. Not all ah.. Some are very impressive! And I remembered a particular Chinese modern family. The boy needed to find some Chinese books. The father came and approached me with a list of Chinese characters and asked me for assistance to find them. So I obliged and when I asked them to spell the hanyu pinyin, the father turned to the son and the son looked at the father.. and the father looked at me.. and said dun noe how to read.. And I looked at them with that "duh " look.. and replied ,"Me too".. . So no choice.. had to taichi lor to my other colleague. So I think here, no matter what, we had to be bilingual.

Actually I turned blank when suddenly, patron asked me to speak in malay. I find that I sound very the "poetical" hahaha... Especially if I wanted to explain them. I've the feeling they're trying very hard to understand what I'm babbling about.... Well, they gave me that kind of look lar.... One even tried to give me a lecture after I accidentally replied him in English.. geezz..

Some (both malays & non-malays) even wanted to confirm whether I 'm a Malay.. At that point I feel like digging a hole at the counter and stuck my head in like an ostrich... Nothing to be proud of. Very sarcastic hokay!!

hmmm...... Ahhh... I'm just wasting tyme telling a bit of my life story at work.. because iI'm counting down to midnight....... wohoooooOoooOoOo.....19 more minutes people.. Oh God.. I've been waiting for 5 months for this...!!! (Not that I can spend on anything! Saving up for my upcoming honeymoon!!)

Wokayy nyte everyone, gotta entertain my Hubba-Hubbaaaaa! Oh yeah! He's back!!
