I think I have a very very bad experiences with cabs nowadays. And I was already late in the morning and the cabs were nowhere to be seen. At 8.40 am, an empty cab came & I thought I was lucky. Boy, did I regret. I had to endure all sarcasm, whinings, complaints and the fear of dying.
The driver was a woman driver and I am having issues on women taxi drivers, ever since one incident. But anyway.. And so she was into "discussion" abt some issues that are in the Straits Times. Nope. I have no problem with that. But when she started to make a potential racist remark, I felt uncomfortable. And so I told her off for making that remark. No matter what, I do not want to be seen as collaborating or agreeing with her. So after that I kept quiet all the way.
Then she said she was sleepy and she can't opened her eyes. Oookay.
She also said usually when she's feeling very tired that she had to eat.
Yes I noticed that when I board the cab.
I was thinking, "you can eat all you want but DO NOT LET YOUR HANDS OFF THE STEERING WHEEL. "
But she did. Twice.
I was so very very glad to reach my workplace finally, safe and sound.
Frankly.. I am not making a general statement. My daddy is a taxi driver too.
And I totally understand how she feels. Usually when they are sleepy, they always try to make a "political" issues into a discussion.
Sometimes they can be crappy at the expense of my safety.
What can I do.
Shut up & Listen lar.
While wearing the seat belt.
